Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Battle Over Kim’s 20-Karat Wedding Ring

The 20-karat diamond ring, which NBA baller Kris Humphries gave to his beautiful bride Kim Kardashian, is supposedly at the heart of the couple’s divorce battle, so says Radar Online.

An “unnamed” source says Humphries wants to get the costly bling he gave to her “because the marriage only lasted 72 days and he believes it was based on fraud and deceit.”

Radar Online also supposes that Kardashian’s lawyer Laura Wasser referenced the ring at a hearing last Friday as part of the divorce case’s jewelry dispute. The case was tabled until Aug. 15 as Humphries’ lawyers argued for more time to research allegations into whether or not the marriage was a fraud and only for promotional purposes.

After a $10 million wedding and just 72 days of marriage, Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries in October 2011.

There’s so many heart-breaking decisions to be made when it comes down to really getting a divorce and the ring is one such problem. What do you do with what was once the jewel of your eye? And does it belong to you or to both of you? While the ring decision may be tricky, it can also be emotionally transformative. See Wedding Ring Blues? How to Transform Your Ring Into a Real Jewel.

Halle Berry Custody Battle Heats Up as Engagement to French Actor is Announced

Yes, it’s true. A-list Hollywood actress Halle Berry, 45, is engaged to be married (for the third time!) to French actor Olivier Martinez, 46. Speculations abound that Berrywants to move to France both for her new husband and to get away from the paparrazi’s ever-present glare. However, Gabriel Aubry (ex-boyfriend and father of Berry’s four-year-old daughter Nahla) has slapped the stunning Oscar-winning actress with a custody and child support lawsuit.

In fact, Aubry was in family law court on May 3. Via his lawyer, Aubry requestedBerrypay around $500,000 in attorney’s fees and $20,000 a month in child support, so reports TMZ. Unfortunately for Aubry, his paperwork was not proper so the judge tabled the case for another day.

In March, Berry fired her longtime lawyer Neil Hersh in favor of hard-hitting custody attorney Stephen Kolodny. Some sources say Berryis hoping the move to France brings about a more “normal” life for her and her daughter Nahla. Daddy Gabriel Aubry — who already must have supervised visits with his daughter after shoving a nanny with the girl in his arms — has not commented about the potential change of custody and countries.

“It’s extremely difficult to get the green light on an international change of address when child custody is involved,” so says family law lawyer-to-the-stars Aaron Dishon of Irvine, Calif.-based Dishon & Block Divorce Attorneys.

“The courts are most concerned with maintaining the continuity and stability of a child’s relationship with both parents, especially if the children are young and the move would forever undermine one parent’s relationship with the child,” says Dishon.

Dennis Quaid’s Wife Withdraws Divorce and Considers Mediation Perhaps?

Dennis Quaid's wife decided to not call it quits. Is mediation in the couple's futureaccidently gave the newborns an overdose amount of the drug Heparin.

Yes, it seems that Dennis Quaid’s wife, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid, has decided against going into divorce court. While she had filed for divorce in March, Quaid’s wife of seven years has withdrawn her papers as of Friday, so reports TMZ.

This almost-divorce is another unfortunate story in the life of the couple’s children. Now four years old, the Quaid twins almost died after staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center accidently gave the newborns an overdose amount of the drug Heparin.

Speaking of Quaid’s children, his 19-year-old son Jack (whose mother is Meg Ryan) stars in the upcoming smash hit, The Hunger Games.

Perhaps Buffington-Quaid was persuaded to go to arbitration so their proceedings could be a private rather a public matter? Here’s some good advice and first steps regarding Mediation.

Supermodel Linda Evangelista Seeks Child Support from French Fashion CEO Francois-Henri Pinault

Supermodel Linda Evangelista, 46, is seeking around $50,000 a month in child support payments from her father-of-her-child French fashion CEO Francois-Henri Pinault, 49, (who is currently married to Salma Hayek).

Supermodel Linda Evangelista goes to court for almost $50,000 a month in child support payments.

The former couple hit family court in Manhattantoday to hash out Evangelista’s expenses for their five-year-old son Augustin, including a 24/7 nanny and armed bodyguards. It seems Evangelista is seeking to boost her income after her $1.8 million annual contract with L’Oreal ended last year.

“It became necessary for her to go to the bullpen and ask the father for help,” said Evangelista’s lawyer William Beslow in court. “Ms. Evangelista is not looking to piggyback the lifestyle of Mr. Pinault.”

Pinault is the CEO of PPR, which is an umbrella company that owns some of the world’s top luxury brands including Yves St. Laurent and Gucci. In the trial, Pinault’s financial records show he earns around $4 million a year.

Evangelista and Pinault started dating in 2005. Pinault says, however, the couple spent less than a week together. And although paternity for Augustin has never been formally spoken, Pinault seems to accept the boy as his own. Pinault has two children from a previous marriage as well as a daughter Valentina with A-list actress Salma Hayek.

“(Evangelista) told me that if I didn’t want to be involved in raising the kid or stay together and be parents together, she would understand, and she will take care of the kid,” said Pinault in court. “I told her that I would recognize the baby … and I will take my responsibility.”

The trial also showed that Evangelista did not ask for any child support until 2007. He did not disclose how much he has paid to his baby Mommy, but it seems Evangelista is taking her case to court for steady income in child support payments.

It is expected that Evangelista will testify at some point in the trial.
